Hi, my name is Hye ("hey"). I am a Korean-American Seattle Local and went to UW for my undergrad and grad degrees (I am a super duper Seattle Local).

My family consists of my wonderful husband, our 2 adorable cats, and 1 sweetie pie pup. I am a little obsessed with my little family so don’t be surprised if I go on and on about the funny things that happen at home (sorry!).

Growing up, I loved art and creating things but my tattoo journey only started in 2022. After the pandemic, I felt disconnected from my community and myself. So, I started training with a wonderful Master PMU Artist and with her guidance, I started Horse and Serpent.

Horse and Serpent is named after my (Horse) and my husband’s (Serpent) Chinese zodiacs. The name represents family, heritage, and the values I want to always embody - learning new things and kindness.

I am so grateful that I have clients like you who are curious and supportive of the studio - thank you for making my dreams come true and I promise I will continue doing my best to provide the best quality work and customer service. Looking forward to working with you or working with you again~
